Raw, experience, environment, Kiran Sharma’s influence derives from vernacular architecture in its undeveloped primal state. “I depict the environment exposed the way I experience it…imperfect. Highlighting rough textures and detailing the construction materials and the exposure of these elements to the environment. There is something beautiful in my mind of the inherent qualities these materials possess and the changes that take place over time.” The expression of light and dark plays a special emphasis in the compositions Kiran picks, how little or how much light depends on what emotion she wants to convey, this is largely focussed on her own emotional state at the time of painting.
